Hi, My car has twin SUs with the auto choke unit on the top between the carbs. There are two small bore rubber hoses coming from the unit. The smaller one on my car is missing, can anybody tell me where it is meant to be connected to - it looks like an air hose the size as you woul expect on the advance and retard unit. I hoping this might solve the too rich choke on start up. Thanks! Sean.
Sorry a reply has been slow in coming! I take it you mean the two outlets on the top on the AED? One is the fuel supply, taken form the main supply to both carbs. The other is simply an over flow. There should be a hose running down to just below the subframe. Rich running is more than likely down to the fact that the AED's are just not very good! SO many are now converted to manual chokes - around £100 for parts, and once set up properly - are far better than the AED.
All the best, Keith
