The spare wheel well is covered by a plywood panel which is located to the boot floor at its forward end by a black painted steel cleat. The cleat is attached by bolts passing through the thickness of the panel, and screwed into black round steel dogged threaded washers recessed into the ply.
These 'washers' , or whatever they might be called, once corroded are too slight to be restored. They must have been a proprietary fixing bought in by Jaguar. Can they still be obtained? I know it doesn't take much ingenuity to refix the newly repainted cleat, but then it wouldn't be as original.
