Mr. Olivers MK10 Jaguar

Belonging to a regular customer, Mr Olivers very rare 1963 MK10 3.8ltr Manual. Bought via an online auction site, the car is a very sound, genuine example. Minor improvements and a full service are to be carried out prior to summer use!

The car as collected.

Glorious dashboard - and manual overdrive!

Very nice 3.8ltr XK with tripple SU's - making for a very quick big car.

The body is very sound indeed - the only structrual damage being here - on the drivers inner wheel well.

The corrosion to the three adjoining panels is cut out, and new sections fabricated and let!

The passenger front lower wing had signs of the led loading blowing out, and corrosion to the lower return.

With the paint removed, the led can be seen - as can the corrosion!

The corrosion to the lower rear section of the wing is cut out and replaced, maintaining the original seam to be led loaded.

Corrosion to the front of the wing had spread to the inner panel.

Both inner and outer sections are fabricated and let in. The outer repair is made of two sections to incorperate the complex shape of the lower return!

Both passenger doors had minor corrosion to the lower corners.

The drivers wing had serious corrosion due to a poor accident repair. No new wing could be found....

....so the wing was unpicked and removed. The crows foot repaired, inner wing rebuilt - and the outer wing refabricated

The finished repair - a new wheelarch formed and lower half of the rear wing. The front flange and return lips were also repaired.

The metal repairs completed, and the car repainted. MOT and minor mechanical repairs and servicing was also carried out before the car was returned to the customer.
